Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter flying over a crowded southern California coastline suddenly started spinning out of control, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Videos shared on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin near Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck among palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were injured. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
